The last few years has been unmistakingly hard on everyone and we’re glad to be able to bring our Apple Butter and Cheese Festival back in as normal a way possible. You’ll notice some of our events are a little different but the one thing that will be the same is the enthusiasm and people that take part!
So mark your calendars for September 30th, (29th is set up day) and we will look forward to seeing you then!
The community wants to extend our deepest thanks and appreciation to everyone that has been involved in our festival in years past and we look forward to continuing the tradition of being one of Waterloo Regions favourite fall festivals.
The Wellesley Apple Butter and Cheese Festival, running since 1975, was formed by members of the Board of Trade. With the help of the Elmira Syrup Festival and the New Hamburg Quilt Auction, the new festival was formed using the best of these two festivals and implementing their local flavour. The festival was formed to promote the town of Wellesley, as well as its major businesses, A.W. Jantzi & Sons Ltd (Wellesley Brand Apple Products) and the J.M. Schneider Cheese Factory. Relying on all volunteer workers, the festival has grown to be one of Waterloo County’s most popular events.
Please be notified that our Annual General Meeting is taking place at the community centre in Wellesley at 7pm on Wednesday November 8, 2023.
